Mfinity's Nano Ceramic Wrap Coating is perfect for those looking to protect and enhance the look of their vehicle's wrap. In the following tutorial, we will walk you through how to apply your newly purchased Mfinity wrap coating correctly. At the end of this article, you will find an instructional video that you can also follow along. Let's begin.
Before we begin applying the wrap coating, if your vehicle's wrap is older, use Mfinity Prep to prepare the surface for the ceramic coating. If the wrap is brand new, you can skip prepping the surface and cover the wrap surface with denatured alcohol. You can use isopropyl alcohol if you do not have access to denatured alcohol. We only recommend using denatured alcohol as it evaporates faster than isopropyl alcohol. The denatured alcohol, or isopropyl alcohol, will clean your wrap's surface of any oil and contaminants. It will make sure your wrap has a coatable surface.
After you clean your wrap's surface with denatured or isopropyl alcohol, open your brand-new bottle of Mfinity wrap coating. Prep your applicator pad with about 6-8 drops of Mfinity wrap coating. You want to make sure that the pad's surface is wet, preventing dragging across the wrap's surface. Work the applicator pad so that the first few drops of coating are covering the pad's surface. Apply 6-8 more drops of wrap coating and rub them in one more time. Now you are ready to coat your wrap's surface.
Start Small and Work Your Way Up to Larger Sections
Start in small sections, typically 2-3 foot areas on your vehicle. With motorcycles, you don't need to worry about sticking to the 2-3 foot areas as motorcycles already have small sections. The goal is to put as much product on the wrap as evenly as possible. Make sure the surface is evenly getting coated. Don't be afraid to touch the super small areas that are typically out of reach. You can always smooth them out. With Mfinity wrap coating, you have 60-90 seconds for the product to lay and set on the wrap surface. Afterward, you are looking at 1-3 hours of cure time. The coating reaches 100% hardness after 3-4 days, depending on weather conditions and temperature.
After the initial 60-90 seconds, take a microfiber towel and ensure the product is laid evenly without any blemishes on the surface. You may see "high spots," meaning any general clumps of the coating compared to the rest of the wrap's surface.
Remove Hard Spots and Achieve an Evenly Coated Surface
Gently rub a towel on the surface to ensure the product has been applied evenly across the surface. Make sure the product is settling flat on the wrap surface. Use the same application style you used to apply the wrap coating to ensure smoothness and get the best results. Wait an additional 10 seconds, giving the product extra time to understand what it is doing. It will begin to smooth itself out on the wrap. Use another towel, or use the opposite side of the towel you used, to smooth out the coating on the surface even further. You do not want the product to build upon one side of the towel. Now you will have an evenly ceramic coated surface. One thing that separates Mfinity from other coatings on the market is Mfinity does not alter your wrap's finish, even if it is a matte finish. Whether satin, gloss, or matte, Mfinity's wrap coating will provide the wrap with an extra clean and beautiful look. It simply enhances the look of your wrap without changing its appearance. Mfinity's wrap coating keeps your wrap's surface protected and water-resistant.
Once you give the coating time to settle into the wrap, wipe the coating off evenly, using gentle pressure. Use a mixture of up-down and side-to-side motions to wipe any excess product off the surface. Wait an additional 10 seconds before giving the wrap an extra wipe with your towel or opposite side of the first towel you used. Use very light pressure to get those couple spots that did not decide to lay evenly. Before long, your new wrap is looking beautiful and enhanced with Mfinity's wrap coating!
